So presenting the three minute origami star of David, that can really be made in 3 minutes, once you get the folding sequence down pat. I looked into all the ways that one can make an origami star of david, and even stopped part way through the 15 minute folding adventure, as I need origami elements that can be made fairly quickly.

If you are folding some origami dreidels then you might just want an origami star of david or 20, to make a Chanukah garland or mobile. So, put on your perfectionist hat, just for this and this only, and get folding! I made these stars from 12cm x 12cm paper, which results in a star that is 6cm wide, cute for a small garland, or a gift topper or place card, but I'd recommend going larger if you want decorations that will make a statement. Now, I do have to say, that while I am generally not interested in promoting creative activities that require perfection, origami unfortunately does require perfection, the more the better, otherwise your stars will not be lovely, (as some of mine are not if you look closely) just saying. I unfold the first one slightly, make sure the folds on it are smooth, tuck the last point inside and then rub my finger back and forth inside the join to smooth the folds. If you are folding some origami dreidels then you might just want an origami star of david or 20, to make a Chanukah garland or mobile. (The center of the paper is just about where the point of the bottom red arrow is.) You are sliding the center of the flat side up the center fold line a bit. Note that you are not aligning the center point of this flat side with the center of the piece of paper. Pull one flat side toward the center of the paper, keeping the center fold line aligned.

(Mine just fits on a 7" square of origami paper.) The secret? Start with a pentagon shaped piece of paper, not a square. I haven't been able to find it in a published work-can anyone confirm this? It has recently come to my attention that this design should be credited to Tomoko Fuse. I love that this star is neatly finished and attractive on both front and back.
